“What impressed me about UU works are the seemingly “holographic” paintings she creates on natural marble. This is a wholly unique process whereby she takes small rectangular pieces of marble to form the basis of the subject for the painting which is already somewhat ingrained within the stone. It’s similar to putting an intricate puzzle together. The pieces are adhered together on a solid base, sanded and readied for a “two dimensional” painting method she uses to complete the final work personally. I found the process extraordinary and the work stunning.”
